Princess Louanne hasn’t had the easiest life but that doesn’t stop her from being the happiest, most lovable, goodest girl around. Found on the streets in Texas, Lou travelled all the way to Canada to find her fur-ever home. While she loves playing in the snow, she prefers her heated blanket and snuggles with mom. Just as Lou was getting settled into her new life, she collapsed while playing and couldn’t get up. After a few touch-and-go nights emergency care she was diagnosed with heartworms. Lou went on an intense treatment regimen including nearly a year of complete exercise restriction. On her second gotcha-day, she tested heartworm negative and is now happily playing and chasing sticks again. Let’s raise a brew to Lou’s good health and to all the hard working Vets that have our best friends backs in the worst of times.
