Leo the Wunderpup was a transplant to the Last Frontier, but was the most Alaskan dog ever. He was just a wee puppy when he made the long drive up the Alcan, North to Alaska!

All throughout his life, Leo had grand adventures in Talkeenta including the 'Great Bear Spray Incident of 2014', running the Oosik Classic in the summertime, chasing fish anywhere water runs, braving the train bridge crossing to Curry, Sherpa-ing lost tourists in search of Denali, cheering on his furry Iditarod friends, basking in the beauty of Benka Lake, and greeting folks at Denali Brewery. Leo crossed over the “rainbow bridge” as a 12 year ol’ grey beard in 2022, but his spirit lives on!

It had always been Leo’s dream to be forever immortalized on a can of Denali Brewing goodness - He would be proud to be the smiling face reppin’ DBC & VWB!
