Why everyone should vote for my animal
My best friend in the whole world! Though he passed away a little while ago, I still think of him everyday and I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to memorialize him and how much he meant to me. Everest was a deaf rescue cat with cerebellar hypoplasia who taught me some incredible lessons on life, love, kindness, and compassion — and, when the time came, on loss. Everest came to us as a sickly little kitten from a farm, missing all of his whiskers and in rough shape — so much so that the vets warned us not to get too attached… but he beat the odds, and lived a full, healthy and happy life. He was a very good friend to us all, and he still means the world to me and my family, despite the distance now between us.
