About a Dog Rescue Society (Charity BN/Registration # 741388284RR0001)
Established in 2018, About A Dog Rescue Society is a volunteer driven organization that aims to rescue stray, abandoned, abused, animals, to prevent cruelty and to rehome these wonderful dogs into loving homes.
In Mexico, dogs are rescued from uncertain futures, having suffered from neglect, abuse, starvation and illness. They are placed in loving foster homes by their dedicated volunteers in Puerto Vallarta, fully vetted, vaccinated, sterilized, and brought back to good health.
They select friendly, adoptable dogs from these locations and place them in local foster homes where dogs are rehabilitated emotionally and medically treated for any health concerns.
Once completely healthy, these lucky dogs are placed for adoption on our website and multiple networking websites. Some dogs are adopted locally in Mexico, but most are adopted into Vancouver and surrounding areas.
As a 100% non-profit registered Canadian Charity, they rely solely on donations. With the generous support of this fundraising event, they will be able to help more dogs with every penny going directly to helping animals in need for things such as food, medical and travel expenses.
The proceeds generated from the photo contest and subsequent calendar sales will help supporting About a Dog Rescue Society's mission to provide comprehensive care for all the dogs under their wing. This includes essential aspects such as food, veterinary care, training, and community education, all geared towards securing foster and forever homes for these deserving furry friends.
