I adopted Annie in November 2023. She has absolutely changed my life for the better. When I moved to college, I left my two cats, Max and Betty, and I missed them so dearly. After moving into an apartment, I decided I wanted to adopt a cat. I checked local shelters day after day and when I was finally approved for an ESA, I chose Annie. She is the silliest, sweetest, and sassiest cat I could have ever asked for. I am so happy I found her and made her my best friend. My dream is to open a cat sanctuary where we trap, neuter/spay, vaccinate and release in hopes of adoption.
Why support UPAWS and why vote for my pet!
I believe each and every animal deserves to be loved and deserves to have a forever home where they are truly valued and cared for. I stand by the phrase “adopt, don’t shop.” Overbreeding is a huge issue that needs to be addressed. Shelters are often overcrowded and it breaks my heart to see animals brought in day after day. I wish I could give all the animals in the world a loving home myself, but unfortunately that is not possible. The closest I can get is to support my local shelters, and I believe others should do the same.
