Pet's Story
My story is one of deceit, personal growth, courage and triumph!

Deceit: My parents always "adopt-don't shop' but my dad really wanted a Newfoundland. They found a Newfoundland breeder, got my Newfoundland papers, waited for my Newfoundland hair to grow and guess what?! I am only 50% Newfoundland and the other 50% is made up of approx. 13 other breeds ...

Personal Growth: In spite of my identity crisis, mom and dad wanted me to have every opportunity to succeed, so they put me in doggy day-camp. Eventually, I grew to become a temperament tester for day-camp new recruits. I then applied my skills and became a 2021 graduate of K-9 Training courses and certified, summa cum laude (not really, but mom and dad said I totally should have!) as a National Therapy dog.

Courage: I brave the hallways of Senior Citizen centers, where my tail is pulled, my paws are ran over by walkers and my eyes and ears are poked and prodded like mines from the Great Gold Rush. I have a side-gig volunteering for a local hospital with my own uniform, name badge and prox card to clock in and out with!

Triumph: In Nov. 2023, after mom and dad left to go buy my Christmas presents, our house caught fire and I was left tending my brother and sister who were in their crates (I am too cool for a crate). I stayed with them until my parents got home and told me to get my butt outside! I paced until the great big folks with the funny hats and hoses brought my brother and sister outside too! (I was gonna give them a piece of my mind, for making me worry, but decided not to in front of mom and dad).
