Pet's Story
Miss Skye was given to us by one of my husband's coworkers. My husband's coworker knew that we had lost our sweet dog. She passed away traumatically at home. My husband had donated leave time to this coworker so that she could be at the beside of her son who was needing to have brain surgery to remove a brain tumor. She had exhausted all of her leave time. The coworker's dog had an unexpected pregnancy. After the coworker's son recovered from his surgery, he shared with his mom that he wanted to give us one of their puppies as a way to thank him for donating leave time to his mom. We were not going to bring another dog into our home after losing our sweet Piper; however, Skye has been the sweetest gift and blessing to our household.
