Pet's Story
Bonkers is a 10 year old Tabby rescued from a shelter in IL. She had already given birth to a litter of kittens when she was first found at less than a year old. She weighed in at 4.5 pounds when adopted. Originally named Trish, she was so rambunctious and full of energy that her new cat guardians renamed her "Bonkers". Nine years later she may have mellowed out a little bit in the day-to-day but is still just as bonkers when it comes to play time!

Her favorite toy is a worm-looking thing on a string. Even at 10 years old she jumps in the air to try to catch that darn worm! Of coarse, when she misses, she pretends she wasn't, in fact, going after it at all! She's a lady after all. She was just trying to groom herself...or something.

Bonkers loves to spend her days sunning on her back...showing the world her beautiful belly! Snoring while she sleeps, chilling on momma's shoulder, and trying to catch that elusive toy worm are her favorite past times. She will come running for her wet food, but you better believe she will sit and wait properly for you to bring the treats to her (that is beneath her). She is not a guard kitty as she could care less if anyone comes to the door - you'll find her lounging in her scratcher 20+ hours a day no matter what else is going on in the house.

When she does want attention, there is no getting around it. Bonkers will get up in your face no matter the consequence. On your phone? Eh, she'll stand on it. Laying down? No matter, she'll lay on your face. Sitting peacefully on the couch watching TV? Hmmm, she'll get on the back of the couch, climb onto your shoulders, and try to sit on your neck/chest. Heaven forbid you are at your desk trying to work. She will walk on your keyboard/laptop/arms/hands. Standing up doing literally anything? She'll reach up your legs with her front paws asking to be picked up and put on your shoulders. If you try to ignore her, she will stare at you and meow until you look at her. When it's Bonkers-time, it's Bonkers-time until she says it isn't.
