Contest Rules

Donations made in support of an animal are valued at one vote for every $1.00 donated. Those who donate $15.00 or more will receive a tax-receipt.
If appropriate, if print-quality photos (see Photo Requirements/Rules) are not provided by the deadline, the Tulsa SPCA will offer the spot in the calendar to the next runner up.
By entering the contest, you acknowledge and give permission to the Tulsa SPCA to use the name, story and photo of the animal entered for future publications and materials, including - but not limited to - the 2025 Tulsa SPCA Calendar.

Contest Entry

Each entry is limited to one photo.
You may submit as many entries as you like, however only one entry per animal will be permitted in the calendar.
Only dogs and cats rescued in Oklahoma or adopted from an Oklahoma shelter or rescue may be submitted as an entry. No birds, rabbits, reptiles, farm animals, exotic pets or any other species are eligible for entry.
Once entered, all photos become the property of the Tulsa SPCA and can be used for print and marketing purposes.
The Tulsa SPCA reserves the right to disqualify an entry based on objectionable content or depiction of the animal or persons in a photo. If an entry is disqualified, donations collected will be refunded if requested by the donor.

Photo Requirements/Rules

Photos must be high-quality, taken at maximum resolution, 300 DPI, minimum file size of 4mb (megabytes) in size and in a generally accepted file format. Please note: most phone photos will not meet these standards.
Photos submitted for the calendar must include at least one animal, who should be present in no less than 2/3 of the frame. Landscape format is preferred.
Please ensure that the photo is sharp and in focus with a clean background.
All submitted photos cannot contain a person. Animals only.
All entries must be in color.
Horizontal (landscape) orientation is preferred as it is required for pet of the month placement.
If your entry was taken by a commercial studio, please include a signed copyright release from the photographer with your entry.

Contest Voting

Each dollar donated to a pet's photo represents one vote.
All donations over $15 will receive a tax receipt.
All donations to the photo contest are final.
An email or home address is required to make an online donation so a receipt with tax information can be sent to the donor.

Contest Deadlines

Online entries and votes must be submitted by 11:59:59 PM (Central Time) on Sunday, September 15, 2024.

Contest Winners

Contest winners may be asked re-submit their photo to Tulsa SPCA as a high resolution, print quality image if needed.
Prize announcements will be revealed on our Facebook page on 9/10/24.
