Walter arrived at our home as a foster with skin problems, heartworms, and wounds after being found abandoned. Although a bit beaten up, he came with a loving heart and the mellowest demeanor. His skin has healed nicely and he is now heartworm negative! Although he didn't get along well with other dogs, his foster sister dog Sophie took him under her paw and taught him that not all dogs are bad. It was a sad day when we learned that Walter has cancer and we decided to move him from foster to hospice status. He'll live a quiet and comfortable life here, and continues to inspire us with his quiet and mellow personality.
