Pet’s rescue story in 500 words or less
Meet Marley. She wasn’t always living the good life. She was dumped and left to fend for herself in Austin Tindal Park by some heartless monster. She made her way into the North Shore Development where kind souls tried to catch her and left her food. She was terrified and would not let anyone get near her. Janea, a concerned neighbor called me and with all the developments’ help we made a plan. We fed her in only one spot she frequented. Janea made sure she had fresh water. I tried to be there at the same time everyday with food and sat and waited. It was a very long process. 2 months we tried. She was so terrified no one could get within 10 feet of her. I was at my wits end. I called animal control but they couldn’t help but suggested a trapper. I found a man who specialized in lost dog trapping, Marcello Gonzales. He was her angel! He was very helpful and setup a trap for Marley near Janea’s home where it could be easily monitored. Since she was only fed in one place it made it a little easier. It took her 3 days to get hungry enough to go in the trap. (We did catch and release 2 opossums on evening one and two. ) The trap was covered by video 24/7. It closed on evening three and that is when her new life started. What a celebration! We trimmed the matted hair from around her eyes, gave her a good meal, a warm bed, had her checked for a chip and put her on all the lost pet sights we could think of. No one came forward. She is now living with her fur sister and 3 fur brothers, (all rescues). Her name came from the great animal lovers in North Shore. They said she looked like Bob Marley with her dreadlocked hair. As you can see her makeover by Chad at 5 Star Pet Grooming was a complete success. Fortunately she didn’t go into heat until she was safe. She was spayed as soon as she was able . There are to many unwanted pups in the world. She whole heartedly agrees.
