About Us

Mountain Pet Rescue Asheville (MPR AVL) is a nonprofit, foster-based organization whose mission is to save and improve the lives of companion animals in their Western North Carolina community. Through grassroots efforts, MPR AVL envisions a future in which all companion animals find loving homes, where they are able to receive the care and respect they deserve.
