Mission Statement: The Toledo Humane Society leads the community in efforts focused on relieving the suffering of, preventing cruelty to and providing for the humane treatment of animals.
The Toledo Humane Society is the state’s oldest animal welfare organization, serving the Toledo area since 1884. We care for nearly 5,000 animals each year through our life-saving programs and services. The Toledo Humane Society investigates over 2,000 animal cruelty reports every year. We do not receive government or national humane society funding and are not affiliated with the United Way.
The Toledo Humane Society has been fortunate enough to have their own ReTail Store, located on Byrne Road in Toledo. Second-hand goods have been sold at this location since 2013, with all proceeds having been donated to THS to help support our mission. We have since outgrown this building and are now moving to a facility that is more than double our original store’s size. The new thrift store will be located at 2320 S. Reynolds Road and renovations are heavily underway! We cannot wait to welcome the community into our new store once it is finally finished and we’ve moved in!
Our fundraiser will be a great way to tell more people about this thrilling change and allows them to get more involved with our project! After all, who wouldn’t love to say that they can see a picture of their pet from a busy road, such as Reynolds? We’re really hoping to get the community just as excited as we are for this newest project that’ll help the community while also helping the animals!
