About

Mission
Our mission at Tennessee Death Row Dogs is to promote the adoption of animals, network and rescue dogs that are scheduled for euthanasia and educate the public about the importance of spay/neuter in reducing the number of homeless animals.

History
On August 12, 2011, Tennessee Death Row Dogs was established as a Facebook page where shelters could send their urgent dogs to be posted and networked. A few months later, TDRD expanded our efforts, rescuing these “death row dogs” ourselves, completing their veterinary care, providing rehabilitation for those with special needs and offering them for adoption. While we will always remain true to our original mission, our vision has changed to include educating the public about the importance of adoption. It is a vision which empowers passionate people to help solve today's pet overpopulation problem.

Vision
Our vision is to help shelters lower their euthanasia rates by assisting them with placement of their most urgent dogs. By educating the public about homeless pet statistics and the fate of many dogs in our shelter system, we hope to significantly decrease the number of unwanted animals that enter our states shelters. We will always strive to be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.
