Why is Your Pet "Rescued (or Stray) and Gorgeous"?
We had two other rescue dogs that we adopted when they were older about 7-8 years ago. Our 13 year old at the time loved those dogs but kept saying he wanted his own puppy and while we knew having 3 dogs was going to be a bit crazy (it ended up being a very special time of our lives), we gave in.. We saw him and some others on the Main Line Animal Rescue website but as soon as we got there, my son said ‘I want that one’ pointing to our Dexter and that was that. Unconditional love between him and us ever since. He is quirky for sure (hates loud or unusual noises., etc) but always greets us at the door, snuggles us and follows us around the house. Forces us to exercise, of course, as we’re always walking him. He gives ‘kiss baths’, too. Now that our son is in college, he’s been helping us with our empty nest syndrome. It’s like our son knew we would need him during this time. And he and my son are so cute each time they reunite when he comes home from college. So glad they have each other in their lives, and I think the aforementioned unconditional love back and forth is so special. In the off chance folks don’t ‘get’ the picture, he is doing the glamorous Titanic picture pose. Just randomly caught it one day. :) Who rescued who? Vote for Dexter!
