I was adopted or rescued!A little about me...We went to our local shelter and asked to be put on a list for when a bulldog breed became available. We were open to either a puppy or a senior dog but since I grew up w/a bulldog as a child (and it was the mascot for my high school) I really wanted a bulldog! It took 8 months, but we eventually got the call from our shelter and successfully adopted Osborne. he was everything we could have imagined.
Sadly, we lost Osborne a couple years ago. We will remember him as a four legged furry family member who loved sitting for the camera (and treats) and he enjoyed modeling a variety of poses for my pictures. He was a happy, cheerful, playful, and a strong boy. He was a big bold tough solid muscle of a champ with attitude. But underneath all that bully tough personality exterior he showed you, was a real charmer and sweet heart. We loved our Osborne, an irreplaceable member of our family.
This image was contributed by animal and landscape photographer Cindy Garcia of Fremont, Ohio. Her ability to snap special moments of dogs, cats, horses and the light shining just right in beautiful landscapes is amazing and pure talent. She has a family of Jack Russells and awesome Jack Russell photos which make it in to calendars in the UK & US each year. Her images have been purchased by large card companies for pet greeting cards like Avanti cards. Her photo contributions for use by the McCook HUmane Society have been a part of every shelter calendar beginning w/the first effort in 2012-13. We appreciate her animal shelter commitment to tell cat and dog stories through her images of successful shelter adoptions and rescues.
