Lucy barks as if to say, "move along, people" to those who walk or ride through her barkspace (an idea akin to airspace, if you will), because first and foremost she protects me and our home. She's only about 45 pounds, but from behind a closed door, she sounds much bigger. And mean. Nothing could be further from the truth. See the heart section...

How big is your dog's heart?
Lucy has a huge heart whose capacity for love knows no bounds. When I'm hurt, she gives me kisses. When we are out in the car, she gives me kisses. She is friendly to people we meet along our journey. And she smiles a lot. I was lucky to get her from a rescue six years ago. She's 10 now and there's so much I have learned from her. All I want is to give her the best loving home and best life I can.
