Rex (formerly Sugar Bear) was found starved, eating garbage out of a trash at the young age of 1.5 in the Texas countryside. He was swiftly rescued after the owner told TGPR rescuers that he was going to shoot him anyway.
Quickly, Rex was adopted by a millennial girl who needed a best friend & companion. They became inseparable where he was spoiled with daily treats, high quality organic/raw food, toys, & unlimited scratches & daily affirmations that he is "the most handsome boy in the world."
Five years later - Rex now has a tribe of people who love him unconditionally, doggy friends of all sizes & ages. He models for his daycare's social media, has flown in a private plane, has steak or venison nightly while watching the sunset over Austin, and gets his own full blown birthday party each December. He is now King of his Castle.
