Milo was fortunate to find a home with us, and we were fortunate to adopt him five years ago. Milo and his brother were abandoned as puppies on the Texas-Oklahoma border. They wandered a bit, and then showed up at a house where a very kind woman let them in. Meanwhile, in Chappell Hill, we had just said goodbye to our wonderful Teddy. We needed a new friend, and Milo needed a home. In short, we were all desperate. Before you know it, we drove to north Texas and brought him back home with us. Milo adjusted quickly and well to life with us in our bungalow on the hill. His office is our front porch, where he scouts the yard and the horizon for anyone or anything he determines is a threat. As a bonus, he also barks at any car, truck or tractor that dares to pass on the road below us. And like most Pyrs, he also enjoys barking at nothing. We are well protected and thankful for our guardian. I think he is well suited to us and we to him. It doesn’t get any better than this.
