Pet's Story:
Another year has gone by since this barking bombshell came into our lives thanks to Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue, and what an unexpected year it has been. In the summer of 2023, Romy started to act less and less like herself, and after what seemed to be an exhausted amount of vet visits, she was ultimately diagnosed with Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA). Since then, we have been on a difficult, frustrating, and often confounding journey towards remission. While we aren't 100% there yet, we are in a stable place where many things seem to be familiar again--like opening a packet of cheese very quietly, only to see her suddenly appear from two rooms away. But more importantly--we are in this place because of the love and support of our family, friends, and a fully committed medical network (in two states!) that never gave up on us. And, because of them--we never gave up on our girl, Romy. The three of us stand stronger together today, holding hands and paws, ready for whatever comes next in our story.
