About Your Pet
HoneyBadger the creamy red dachshund came home with us from the Leon County Animal Shelter when he was three.
Over the past 11 years, our rowdy bolter has mellowed into a quiet family man. He doesn’t let the tumor on his chest get in the way of good living.

He prefers a nap under a blanket of sunshine, treats of rotisserie chicken, wandering the garden to investigate what creatures roamed the night before, rides into the country, and burrowing under the covers at bedtime. Recently, he hopped around in his first snow.

HoneyBadger will be 14 this year, and he loves visiting The Fix when his family drops off donations.
HoneyBadger-affectionately called Badge when he's following a scent- is gentle and patient with people who stop us on walks, and he graciously accepts praise and pets.

This senior redhead is aging gracefully and has a firm hold of our hearts in his paw.
