About Your Pet
Fern showed up to my house as a neighborhood stray. Her ear was clipped, indicating she was trapped, spayed, and released before I met her. After getting her scanned for a microchip and posting about her online, I was unable to find an owner. Over a few months, I fed her and spent time with her while trying to find someone to adopt her. Her striking coat caught the attention of many, but none as adopters. As time went on, I built a bond with her and decided to adopt her myself. She took to the indoors almost immediately. Fern is very sweet and vocal, especially when it comes to food. She loves her feather toys, and swatting her other toys all around the house. When given a stuffed animal, her formal feral instincts come out to play. Since I brought her indoors, she has been nothing but a sweetheart, and we are both happy that she can now live a comfortable and safe life inside.
Why Your Pet Should Be Named the Next Tally Top Pet
While her origins are unknown, she lived outside for at least part of her life. Ever since showing up on my porch, she has been sweet and affectionate. Before I met her, she was successfully trapped, spayed, and released, as indicated by her clipped ear. Without this program, she could still be stuck outside in the elements, and potentially contributing to the feral cat population. Being spayed helped in the decision to adopt her since it was one less consideration in the adoption process. She is an example of the strength it takes to survive outdoors, while demonstrating the importance of TNR programs. From surviving outside in the Florida elements to sleeping soundly on the couch, Fern is an inspirational example of a formal stray. Her photogenic beauty doesn't hurt either.
