Pet's Story or Bio
Hello! Cowboy came into my life when we needed each other the most. We were both lost so to speak, me in life, and him somewhere in Eastern Washington. Cowboy was found as a stray by the Humane Society and through a random search on their website I saw that they had an adorable, friendly, playful and loyal Border Collie. I decided to go and see him. It was right at the start of the pandemic, so rules were very strict for visiting animals. I waited in my car, hoping that he’s still there, and then I see someone walking out the building with a Border Collie. My dreams were shattered thinking I was too late, but then I get the call that they have Cowboy and he’s eager to meet me! A bit shy at first, we waited and played a bit. We waited for that initial spark to happen that bonds a pet to their new owner. He eventually let me put the leash on him and that was all the courage he needed. From then on, we’ve been inseparable. We’re hiking all the time, going on car rides (which he loves!) playing fetch in the big back yard that we now have. I am forever grateful to have Cowboy in my life and will be forever thankful for the Humane Society for bringing him to me!
