Don’t let that innocent look fool you; our Newfoundland Landseer, nicknamed ‘Rowdy’, loves to counter surf when we aren’t looking for bread, French fries or a stick of butter. Before we leave the house stuff goes into the oven or cupboard.
Beckett can tell time and starts whining and sticking close at 3:45 PM, when it’s time to leave for the park. He runs with three black Labs every day chasing balls playing ‘keep away’ and was the fourth fastest Newfoundland in the country, running FastCat 100 yard dash in 9. 67 seconds.
When he jumps up to the bed he stretches out to over six feet and pretends not to hear “Get off!…,” or curls up into a tiny little ball in his own bed.
We are training Beckett for Rally, carting work and water rescue and have a great time with him.
