Alfred Matthew Parry lived with me from the time he was 4 until he died last winter. Fred was the official greeter at my house, the party host, the comforter, the goof. He truly never met a stranger. One of his favorite places in the world was the walk at Ann Dever park. The bridge over Oyster Creek is known, among his fans, as "Fred's Bridge".
