Why I am a Ravishing Rescue?
My name is Esmeralda, but they call me Esme. About 5 years ago, someone got me as a kitten but didn't like me so they took me somewhere and drove away. I didn't know how to fin for myself. I was scared, hungry and growing thinner by the day. Weeks went by when eventually I saw a lady. I politely greeted her but when she didn't give me attention, I wrapped my body around her ankles and wouldn't let go. She wasn't familiar with cats so I scared her. She thought I would eventually go home but for 2 days, we caught glimpses of each other through her screen door, and I learned her name was Netta.

Finally realizing I must be lost and hungry, Netta put out food from her refrigerator. I was eating it ravenously but when she stepped away, I ran from the food to wrap my body around her ankles again. I was starving, but I wanted love more than food. She opened the door to her apartment and I scurried inside. She posted me on web to find my owner but thank goodness she didn't. Instead, she found Katie (and Katie eventually learned my story).

Katie had a dog that loved cats and brought him over to meet me. Without any fear, I ran up to him and he happily ran to me. We're now siblings and best friends. Katie took me in, but when she travels, she takes me back to Netta. I have a very demanding dog-like personality so I boss Netta around for weeks at a time while Katie's away. She won't say "no" to me. So today, my life is happily going back and forth in my carrier between two new loving homes.
