Why I am a Ravishing Rescue?
Bijan came into our lives as a shy, FIV+ cat rescued from the streets of Brooklyn, NY. At first, we thought she was a boy, but soon realized our sweet Bijan was a girl. Though timid at the start, she quickly became our most loyal companion, curling up on my belly and filling our home with warmth and love.

In August 2022, our world was shaken when Bijan was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and kidney disease. By spring 2023, she began experiencing grand mal seizures and was later diagnosed with epilepsy. Through it all, Bijan fought with a strength and resilience that amazed us every day.

Despite our best efforts, we lost her in February 2024, as she passed away in our arms. The grief still feels overwhelming. Bijan was the light of our lives—her gentle spirit and pure sweetness touched everyone she met. Just by being herself, she inspired others to adopt and care for cats in need.

In the darkest moments of my life, Bijan was there, pulling me through. Because of her, I began rescuing and fostering other cats, adopting three more daughters along the way. I will carry her memory with me always, and I will continue to fight for the cats who need it most, just as she fought for her life. In her honor, I will keep saving as many as I can.
