Why I am a Ravishing Rescue?
Hi! I’m June…

… a real life beanie baby who stared out as a foster (in a lease-to-own arrangement, as I made sure I ‘gelled’ with my new brother cat, Sonny - who was also a rescue!). Turns out, Sonny and my new person were in desperate need of a woman’s touch, as I’ve been actively rearranging things around the house, keeping everyone to a rigorous daily routine (play/eat/play/sleep/play), and have been quite proactive about pruning the houseplants. I have two speeds; zero and supersonic. I wear pajamas like a Hanna Barbara cartoon (doctor’s orders) but can rock a turtleneck like no other. And, most of all, I’m a wiggly lil sweetheart.

My origin story is a tough one, but with a happy ending… I was found on the streets of Garden Grove… in a plastic bag that was lit on fire.

Miraculously, I was rescued by the local animal control in the nick of time. I was quickly brought to SCA where their incredible team of doctors and volunteers saw a brave little kitty with undeniable heart and spirit. And a determination to survive…

… and, after over a year of surgeries, rehab, and round-the-clock care, I am now a HEALTHY, THRIVING, LOVING and TRUSTING little weirdo. A fuzz-fanged sugar cube that is loved and spoiled.

The volunteers had initially named me Reba, but I didn’t seem feisty enough to warrant such a moniker. So, staying within the realm of Country Music matriarchs, I now go by June (after June Carter and the First Family of the genre)… or June Bug… or Bug… or Boop.
