Kyro's original name was Houdini because as a kitten he could do a very special trick. As an indoor cat he could magically disappear and reappear outside our door (without a pet door or us opening the door). We could never explain it but we knew he loved being outdoors so much, that we decided to make him an indoor/outdoor cat. At that point he stopped the disappearing act and spent his days laying in the shade or hunting lizards and squirrels and spending the evenings with us. He was always a little wild and crazy in his younger days, but now as a senior citizen he's much calmer and spends most of his time indoors, snuggling up with us.
