A little about me...
Ducky (formerly known as Gerry/Jax) was adopted from Save Rocky in September 2021 after him and his siblings were found living in a ditch with their mom on the side of the road in South Texas. His siblings were starving and sick with Parvo, and most of them didn’t survive. Ducky’s new family was looking to adopt another Dane to fill the void for their senior Dane Jax, that had suddenly passed away from cancer and left their other Dane (Moose) depressed. They wanted to adopt an adult in any color other than black as they felt it was too soon for them emotionally to get a dog that looked too similar to their sweet Jax. Well, somehow this little black puppy stole their hearts and they were signing adoption papers. Yep! He checked all the boxes they didn’t want. It turned out, without anyone’s knowledge, that Ducky’s current foster’s kids had actually re-named him Jax. It seemed fate would have it that this little guy just had to join their family! They drove 12 hours to meet transport from Texas and bring Ducky to Pennsylvania. He may look like their old Jax but he’s his own silly self with a wild personality that makes them laugh every day. He’s nothing like Jax and is 100% Ducky. Ducky is a great reminder that sometimes the dog you think you want on paper isn’t the dog that is meant to join your family.
