Ruthie is a rescue from the city shelter. She was brought in in the middle of winter with a severe case of mange and almost didn't make it. She was about seven months old. Actually, she wouldn't have made it had my mom not immediately taken her into foster care. It was a long road of recovery for Ruthie, but 6 months later, she was ready to be adopted and I had completely fallen in love with this little girl - so I adopted her! She's clearly quite comfortable in her new home :)
