Mon animal est décédé. Puis-je tout de même participer au concours? Nous sommes désolés que votre animal ne soit plus de ce monde. Si vous l'avez adopté à la SPCA de Montréal au cours des dernières années, vous pouvez tout de même participer au concours et ainsi lui rendre hommage.
Si je gagne, qu'arrivera-t-il? Les gagnant·e·s seront contacté·e·s durant la semaine du 29 juillet 2024 à l'adresse courriel fournie lors de l'inscription au concours. Les gagnant·e·s auront ensuite jusqu'à 23:59 le 8 août 2024 pour nous envoyer une version haute résolution de la photo de leur animal ainsi que des informations à son sujet. Le manquement à ces obligations disqualifiera la personne gagnante. Les gagnant·e·s seront contactés par ordre décroissant de votes.
Est-ce que tous les participants au concours recevront un exemplaire gratuit du calendrier? Non. Seules les personnes dont l'animal sera présenté dans le calendrier recevront un exemplaire gratuit du calendrier 2025 de la SPCA de Montréal.
Pourquoi ma photo a-t-elle été disqualifiée? Nous nous réservons le droit de disqualifier une photo pour plusieurs raisons, notamment si la résolution de l'image est trop basse, si l'animal semble inconfortable sur la photo, s'il n'a pas été adopté à la SPCA, ou encore si la personne qui participe au concours ne détient pas les droits sur l'image soumise. La décision de disqualifier une photo est irrévocable et à l'entière discrétion de la SPCA de Montréal. Les votes ne seront pas remboursés.
Quelles sont les exigences à respecter pour soumettre une photo?- Les images doivent être en haute résolution (minimum de 2000 px; taille de fichier recommandée : 2 Mo minimum).
- Les images doivent être de format .jpg ou .png.
- L'animal doit être le sujet central de l'image et être bien visible.
- La photo ne doit pas montrer d'humain identifiable (par exemple, le visage ou la majeure partie du corps).
- L'image doit être nette. Les photos floues seront disqualifiées.
- Tout animal paraissant sur la photo ne doit pas montrer de signes de détresse ou d'inconfort.
- La photo ne doit pas montrer un animal s'adonnant à des activités non naturelles ou dangereuses.
- Les chiens photographiés à l'extérieur doivent porter un collier. Lorsqu'ils se trouvent dans un lieu public, ils doivent être tenus en laisse.
- Les chats photographiés à l'extérieur doivent porter un collier ainsi qu'une médaille ou porter un harnais muni d'une laisse, et se trouver dans un environnement sécuritaire.
- Les autres animaux photographiés à l'extérieur doivent se trouver dans un environnement sécuritaire.
- La SPCA de Montréal se réserve le droit de disqualifier, à sa seule discrétion, une photo en raison de son contenu inapproprié, indécent ou obscène.
- En soumettant une photo à ce concours, vous garantissez et déclarez que cette photo est le résultat de votre travail et que vous détenez ou contrôlez tous les droits d'auteur sur votre matériel de participation. Si vous soumettez une photo qui est protégée par le droit d'auteur d'une autre personne, vous serez responsable de toute action en justice que le détenteur du droit d'auteur pourrait engager contre vous.
Qu'arrivera-t-il avec la photo de mon animal si je gagne? En soumettant une photo à ce concours, vous garantissez et déclarez que cette photo est le résultat de votre travail et que vous détenez ou contrôlez tous les droits d'auteur sur votre matériel de participation.
En participant à ce concours, vous octroyez une licence d'utilisation à la SPCA de Montréal pour les photos et les témoignages soumis. En octroyant cette licence mondiale illimitée, vous autorisez la SPCA de Montréal à utiliser la photo, le nom et l'histoire de l'animal inscrit au concours dans diverses publications, notamment à des fins promotionnelles, y compris dans le calendrier 2025 de la SPCA de Montréal.

How are votes counted? Each $1 donation made to the Montreal SPCA on the GoGo Photo Contest platform counts as one vote.
Do I have to be a Canadian resident to take part in the contest? You must live in Canada to enter a photo in the contest. However, votes may be submitted from anywhere in the world.
My animal has passed away. May I still enter the contest? We're sorry your companion animal is no longer with us. If you adopted your animal from the Montreal SPCA in recent years, you may still enter the contest as a way to pay tribute to them.
What happens if I win? Winners will be contacted during the week of July 29, 2024, via the email address provided upon entry to the contest. Winners will then have until 11:59 p.m. on August 8, 2024, to send a high-resolution version of their animal's photo and information about them to the Montreal SPCA. Failure to do so will disqualify the winner. Winners will be contacted in descending order of the number of votes.
Will all contest participants receive a free copy of the calendar? No. Only the winning contest participants whose animals are featured in the calendar will receive a free copy of the Montreal SPCA 2025 calendar.
Why was my photo disqualified? We reserve the right to disqualify a photo for several reasons. These include low resolution, an animal who appears uncomfortable in the photo, an animal not adopted from the SPCA or a contest participant not holding the rights to the entered photo. The decision to disqualify a photo is irrevocable and at the sole discretion of the Montreal SPCA. Votes will not be refunded.
What are the requirements for entering a photo in the contest? - Images must be high resolution (minimum 2000 pixels; recommended file size: at least 2 MB).
- Photos must be in .jpg or .png format.
- The animal should be the focal point of the photo and clearly visible.
- The photo must not include identifiable humans (i.e. no faces or significant body parts).
- The image must be clear and sharp; blurry photos will be disqualified.
- Animals in photos must not exhibit signs of distress or discomfort.
- Photos must not depict animals engaging in unnatural or dangerous activities.
- Dogs photographed outdoors must be wearing a collar and, when in public places, must be leashed.
- Cats photographed outdoors must be wearing a collar with a tag or a harness with a leash and be in a safe environment.
- Other animals photographed outdoors must also be in a safe environment.
- The Montreal SPCA reserves the right to disqualify any photo at its sole discretion if the photo contains inappropriate, indecent or obscene content.
- By entering a photo in this contest, you guarantee and declare having taken it yourself. You also declare that you own or control copyrights to all entry material. You are responsible for any legal actions resulting from the submission of copyrighted material that you do not own or control.

By entering this contest, you grant the Montreal SPCA worldwide license to use the photos and testimonials you enter. By granting this unlimited and worldwide license, you authorize the Montreal SPCA to use in various publications and for promotional purposes, including the Montreal SPCA's 2025 calendar, the photo, name and story of the animal you entered in the contest.
