Manteca is a ten years old Chihuahua. In 2022, she was found frightened and confused in the middle of a crowd celebrating the Day of the Death in a Mexican town. She was flea infested and afflicted with a grave case of dental decay, which left her with nine teeth and a tongue that sticks out.

Her adoptive parents fell in love with her goofy ways and gentle nature. She loves to walk in the sun, and she will befriend snails, cats and any human who stops to say hi in the streets.
