Pet's Story or Bio
Little six pound rescue over 10 years ago. All beat-up; in dire need of a bath and scared of everything. He still trembles at times. He was found hiding in a field in Salinas. My Christmas present all those years ago.
Got him healthy and comfortable. To this day he's still tentative around most people, especially kids. From prior unknown injuries he ultimately needed back surgery. His recovery was long and it took six weeks before any movement of his back legs. What a person learns when their pup is recovering from surgery... is a lot, and found a new level of patience I didn't know existed in myself. Months later when he began to walk again he couldn't run, but could hop along when chasing a bird in the yard.
He guards the household and yard like it's Fort Knox and has his own routines with most things. At the office in the afternoons he first has to sit on my desk to the left of me. Within five minutes he has to cross over my keyboard and sit on all the paperwork. This lasts for another five minutes and then he's back to the bed on the left side of my desk, ready for a cozy snooze after a long drink of water.
He is precious to me!
