Southwest English Setter Rescue (SWESR) is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization dedicated to the rescue and rehoming of displaced English Setters.
The majority of the English Setters in our program are rescued after being abandoned or surrendered to shelters in the Southwestern USA. We also assist individuals who wish to give up their Setters for rehoming. SWESR adopts to homes throughout the contiguous USA and parts of Canada easily accessed from the US.
We provide foster homes, veterinary care and rehabilitation when needed, and place our dogs with loving, forever families. Because our goal is to make the best possible placement for a dog, we work closely with prospective adopters to ensure a successful adoption in a well matched home. SWESR has rescued over 538 dogs since September 2012.
SWESR is wholly dependent on our adoption fees and private donations to meet our expenses. We need volunteers to support our efforts, especially foster homes in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, and California. Please consider making a donation or volunteering for SWESR.
