Ellie was adopted from Rosie’s in January of 23 and Rider came from Rosie’s just last month. They have bonded instantly and complete our family. Ellie loves to go running or long walks and Rider is getting better on a leash so we hope he will be joining on the runs soon. Ellie is named from a character in Up and is a beagle and golden retriever mix. Rider is named after Flynn Rider from Tangled. He won me over with his smouldering eyes. We have sent a DNA sample to find out what breeds make up this love bug, but no matter the breeds, he is the perfect breed for us. .Both love to give kisses and sit in your lap. Our cats are getting adjusted to Rider’s puppy energy and hopefully they will curl up with him, the way they curl up with Ellie, very soon. Although neither are perfect, but both are perfect for our family.

Why I am thankful for my pet...
Ellie came to our family shortly after our 16 year old Sally dog passed. She brought smiles to our faces after weeks of sadness. She quickly became our best friend and friend to our senior dog Jessie and cat Felix. She makes each day better with her playful energy and cuddles. Although she is a tall dog, she still believes she is a lap dog and always is there with kisses to brighten your day. Rider is new to our family and we adopted him after Jessie passed at 15. He also brings so much joy and love to our home. He has quickly become Ellie’s best friend and hopefully will win the cats over with his smouldering charm. We are so thankful for both for making our lives brighter and loving us unconditionally. They keep our feet warm at night, smiles on our faces and floors free from crumbs. They are more than pets. They are family.
