Your Pet's Story or Bio
This is Jerome. This is the first photo I took of him the day I got to take him to his furever home. I adopted Jerome as my first pet. He was spunky, sweet, loving, and all around the best sweetest boy. Southside took a chance with me and let me adopt this sweet boy and I will forever be grateful. He needed a lot of work done before he was able to be adopted. He had to have almost all of his teeth pulled, and he was previously abused. His jaw was broken from one side to the other so his tongue always hung out. Jerome passed away Oct 5, 2020 from a stroke. I was able to give him the best two years, and I have since adopted a cat from Southside. I loved being able to love him for the short time I had him. I’m so thankful for him, and all the love he showed me.

Why I am thankful for my pet...
I am thankful for Jerome because he showed me that even through all the abuse he endured, it never let him not see the good. He was my best little buddy, and I’m so thankful I got the chance to show him what real love and care felt like.
