The Southern Pines Healthy Pet Clinic is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing the number of unwanted animals in the Pine Belt area. In mid-2008, the Spay & Neuter planning team was formed to research proven methods for reducing the number of unwanted animals entering the shelter and make recommendations for the Pine Belt area. After careful research and planning, the clinic opened its doors in July of 2009, offering high-quality, low-cost sterilization surgeries for cats and dogs. With the support of grants and donors, the clinic is able to provide basic health services to pet owners in the community.
In January 2021, the clinic underwent a rebranding to better reflect our mission. Our new name, Southern Pines Healthy Pet Clinic, reflects our commitment to providing high-quality health services to pets and their owners. We are constantly evolving and updating our services to meet the changing needs of our community. We strongly depend on generous donations from individuals, businesses, and foundations to fund our programs, supplies, and operational expenses.
Today, we're extending outreach beyond the clinic walls by organizing vaccine clinics in the surrounding areas. This outreach initiative has been a huge success and has helped many pet owners who are unable to travel to the clinic.
OUR MISSION IS TO NURTURE THE BOND BETWEEN PEOPLE AND PETS THROUGH COMMUNITY, COMPASSION, AND COLLABORATION TO FORGE A PATH TOWARD SUSTAINABLE, RESPONSIBLE, AND COMMUNITY-DRIVEN LIFESAVING.
