A little about my entry...
Looking east from the Bird Walk Coastal Access Trail in Bodega Bay, I was watching and photographing this lone blue heron.
Blue herons are often skittish around people.
When it took off, I was poised to capture multiple beautiful images of it flying away.
All year long, the Sonoma coast has many permanent shorebird residents such as blue herons, great and snowy egrets, godwits and many
other species that we can always easily find
