A little about my entry...
In 2016 I adopted Henny through Sonoma County's Humane Society, adoptions by owner, program. Henny was three years old and I was going to be her third mom. Henny hadn't been socialized and struggled with fear and anxiety, I too, was struggling with my own anxiety. She barked at me when I first met her and I knew in that moment, this is my dog. Within a day, we were fast friends and now 8 years later, we have both moved past our hurdles and live with joy in our hearts. Who rescued who? Henny is a gentle spirit, her eyes are as deep as the ocean. She lives for hiking, swimming, and most of all, snuggles.
