Pet's Story
Mitzi was abandoned by her previous owners after they were evicted. She was left on an 8’ x 4’ patio with no food or water. They did not even own dog food or a dog bowl. She was found when the unit was inspected for a lock change and taken by Animal Control. The tenants made no mention of a pet nor did they ever seek to claim her. As part of the Security team that was present at the time, I followed through on her progress after being taken and chose to adopt her. She was 40lbs when found and was likely not fed for over one week. While she was left starving and in her own feces, she is now a healthy 60lbs+ and part of a loving family that will have her forever. We named her Mitzi, short for Mitzvah (Yiddish for a good deed).
