Is that a face or what? We were lucky enough to bring 10-year-old Nugget into our family last year. He'd gone from being with one family all his life, to suddenly being in SoCal Bulldog Rescue shelter because the family felt they could no longer take care of him. The rescue had found a different home for him, but unfortunately one of their children ended up being allergic. Three days later he was back to the Rescue, traumatized. We brought him into our home with so much love, his "brother" Miles, our 13-year-old pug, welcomed him warmly. But for months he was depressed and restless. With a lot of love and attention (and some antidepressants - don't be afraid to ask for help, whether you're a human or a pup!), he is now much more relaxed and content! He loves his walks, his toys and meeting new friends, canine or human. More than anything he loves his naps! And belly rubs. Mmmmm belly rubs. :) We were so lucky to find him, and we are so thankful for SoCal Bulldog Rescue!
