My husband and I decided to get our first dog together 5 years ago as a one year wedding anniversary present to ourselves. We went into HSSV a few times before falling in love with Mia. She was actually named Sheeba but that is our cat's name (a good sign?) so we changed it to Mia. We were told that she had been in HSSV two times before! This time even after calling her contact information on her microchip there was no response from her previous owners. I can't imagine in a million years why they didn't want her! She is such a calm, well behaved dog who loves people. She loves to go camping, hang out with her doggy friends, play with kids, and go on walks. She fits in perfectly with our little family. We couldn't imagine life without her!
