Pippin was a stray for the first year or so of his life. He had been at the shelter for many months when a family finally adopted him. It turned out that a house full of small kids was not the best fit for him and he was returned once again to the shelter. Pippin was described to us at the time as the owner's cat's best friend. They played together every morning. It turned out as we got him home that he is everybody's best friend. I am not sure he knows he is a cat. He has fallen into the pack perfectly with our two dogs. they eat together, sleep together, and play together. If Pippin is outside and wants to come in our dogs will bark to let us know. They all certainly have each others back. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect cat.
