Ira, also affectionally called Brown Dog, was a stray found by the Whatcom Humane Society in August of 2012 but we think he knew exactly where he was headed and that was to our family. We were searching for a small dog but Ira (known as Levi at the Humane Society) won our hearts in no time flat. He was the perfect fit and soon became best friends with our cat, Achilles. He was also very respectful and therefore accepted by our aging 12 year old Australian Cattle dog (who has sadly since passed) who quite frankly did not like other dogs. Bailey and Ira would be found snuggling from time-to-time which was always so sweet. Ira is a snuggle bug and definitely has helped us through the grieving period of the loss of Bailey. Everyone who meets Ira instantly falls in love with him, he's that kind of a dog.
