I met Carlos at the Deputy Anne Jackson Memorial Run in 2009 & instantly fell in love. Two days later, I was blessed when the HSSV allowed me to give him a forever home. Carlos is grounded, playful, loving, gentle, and just chill. He's truly a Once-In-A-Lifetime dog.

Carlos & I met Lilja at the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society in 2011, scared & shut down. Lilja would only approach me if I was sitting down, however, she instantly perked up when she met Carlos; he gave her confidence, taught her to trust, helped her heal. We don't know her story, but later when xrayed we found that she has buckshot embedded in her back.

Carlos & Lilja have changed our lives forever; they are both extremely loving, gentle, patient & well-balanced. They are now helping raise & mentor their self-chosen little brother Gremlin, a stray that joined us in May.
