Buffalo Bill and his sister, Annie Oakley, were my first foster failures. I am so glad I kept them because Bill acts like a surrogate parent to all my foster babies. This is him with Worm, a foster baby that came into my life one day when someone rescued him and brought him to a nearby shelter where my friend happened to be that day and called me. He was named Worm because he was so little he still had his umbilical cord and rolled around in the box with no motor skills. Worm came with me to work until he was big enough to stay home on his own, and was adopted by a friend of a coworker. I love this photo of Bill and Worm. So sweet.
