- Your pet does NOT have to be adopted from the San Francisco SPCA to be eligible to enter the contest
- Only photos of domestic cats and dogs are accepted. Farm animals, small mammals, reptiles, and birds will not be accepted (and no people please)
- Photos must be high-resolution (300 dpi or greater) and be in landscape (horizontal) format. If you are taking photos with your phone, please be sure to photograph at the highest possible setting
- Photos that are heavily filtered, edited, or altered will not be considered
- Photos deemed offensive, indecent, or obscene will be removed from the contest
- Photos must receive at least 10 votes to be included in the 2024 calendar collage
- Duplicate top vote getters eligible to win a month spread in the calendar will be featured on one month’s spread only
- By entering the contest, you consent to the use by and grant to the San Francisco SPCA an unrestricted, perpetual, and worldwide right and license to useof photos and information (the “Materials”) submitted in its sole discretion to promote and otherwise carry out its mission. You will not be entitled to inspect or approve the use of the Materials, receive notice of their use or publication, or receive any payment. You waive and release the San Francisco SPCA, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any legal claims that you may have in the Materials or the San Francisco SPCA’s use of the Materials.
Voting
Each vote costs $1, and there is no limit to the number of votes one may cast for the duration of the contest. You must purchase a minimum of five votes at a time for a minimum charge of $5. You may vote for your own photo. Online voting begins as soon as the photo is registered and ends at 11:59:59 PM (Pacific Time) on Friday, November 10, 2023
Prize Information
Your $30 donation fee includes one free copy of the 2024 calendar (valued at $25 + $5 S&H) which will be mailed to the address provided within three months of the contest's end.
The top 5 vote getters on the leaderboard will receive a surprise swag bag which will be mailed to the address provided in January 2024.
The top vote getters in the Dog, Cat, and SF SPCA Alumni category will win a spot in the SF SPCA’s Our Animals magazine. The top vote getter in the SF SPCA Alumni category will be featured in the Human-Animal Bond section in the magazine. Top vote getters from the Dog and Cat categories will be featured on the back of the magazine. We will contact the magazine winners after the contest’s end.
