Eight years ago, I rescued Sydney when she was 5 months old. Her SPCA description read “delicate flower”. She would not go up to the glass of her room, choosing to view her suitors from afar. When we went in to visit with her she remained on her cot. With a little bribery, she slowly made her way towards us and it was love at first cuddle! I was told we would have to teach this shy girl the ways of the world, however, she has taught me so much more! She has taught me how to be nurturing and patient. No longer the delicate flower she once was, Sydney is now confident and vocal and can definitely hold her own. She is smart and sweet and loves little kids. I am so fortunate that she chose me. She is the best dog in the whole world!
