Tell us your storyI always said i could never own a husky, largely because i do not run, and work an arduous job. So imagine our surprise a year after adopting Bandon from SFSPCA, to learn he was purebred husky (per DNA tests). He is “classic” don’t judge a book (breed) by its cover (stereotype). Despite his temporary disability post surgery from an injury he was found with in the Sequoia National Forest when we adopted him, he was & is the most snuggly, people and dog oriented pleaser. He loves couch time, fans, and a good belly rub. While he also has a stubborn streak and enjoys a good hunger strike, he is most satisfied out on a walk in SF with a good breeze blowing through his hair. We adopted Bandon in 2021; he was the 50th dog I applied for from the SPCA and other local shelters and boy we lucked out. He is my soul dog through and through. We welcomed Bandon to the family 5 days after moving in together, and he’s been apart of all of major life events - engagement, marriage & hopefully one day, kids.
